Here we are, the last day of our Part Day Program. What a year this had been! I sincerely hope you remember the first seven months as well as the last few months that have challenged our patience as well as our ability to pivot and innovate.
I “sat in”on the Emerging Leaders session this morning. A few things folks “chatted about “ included: “What was an accomplishment you were proud of this year ?“ And “When you reflect on this year, what do you remember?” Please take some time to reflect on the difference you have made in the life of a child, a parent/care giver, a coworker.
Thank you, everyone, for caring about the well being of the families we serve and the community we all live in together! During the summer break, please be kind to yourself and others. Be a role model for practicing safe, healthy behaviors. I hope you continue to check the Head Start website and Facebook page. There are ongoing discussions in Salem and Washington DC that will affect not just HS, but all government funded services. You can also keep up with Summer School Employment opportunities. Have an enjoyable summer!
For those of us continuing to work for a few more weeks or months, have a memorable long weekend. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with you as we support children and families and to plan for the future.
