Good day!
Seeds of change…I mean vegetable seeds…as well as pots and ideas for gardening were delivered to Full Day and Extended Day families. Thanks to the HS assembly line workers, the drivers, and the dreamers who made this a possibility! It is a great time to try your hand at gardening if you haven’t done so. It is rewarding and relaxing to grow the food you eat or the flowers that bring beauty to our lives!
All of us are thinking about the availability and quality of the food we eat. We also must consider the people who work in agriculture and food production. The majority of the work in our fields, orchards, and meat production in the United States is done by immigrants and naturalized citizens.
I respect the hard working people who are trying to feed their families, as well as ours. I respect the farmers and ranchers who are trying to hold on to a life that often goes back several generations. Let us be grateful for all of the people in many different jobs that ensure we are able to access food.
Have a healthy weekend!
