Some of you may know that the South Town Rotary Club has been an amazing support to West Eugene families for many years. In partnership with HSOLC: food, housing, and so much more have been provided to families needing some support. Southtowne Rotary has devoted hours and raised millions of dollars to help create new opportunities and improve lives in our community and internationally.

I wanted to highlight one of these recent good news moments today. With the advocacy and support from the Reg. 3 FSC Becca Bruce, an un-housed mom about to deliver her new baby will be moving into a tiny home. The Rotary, with special thanks to Camille, has also helped gather diapers, wipes, clothes, blankets, and other necessities for the new baby.  Thanks to Becca, Rotary, and G Street Oasis project, for being sure families have what they need to thrive. It’s truly amazing what can be done when people care.

You might have already seen masked Marci on the steps of Whitaeker holding $1500 in gift cards on our Facebook page. Val Haynes has been working with Trillium/Centene to find supports for EHS/HS at risk families. The gift card will be used by staff to purchase diapers and other needed items during the summer.

We continue to use our strong collaborative partnerships to support families good health.
