Good afternoon!
I am pleased to share good funding news with you. The Office of Head Start has awarded HSOLC our five year grant. The grant was funded as submitted, including funds for a double classroom modular building. HSOLC has also received notification that our Oregon Pre-K continuation grant has been approved without cuts, as well as the program enhancement funds. Yay!
Full day staff are receiving training this week in anticipation of the opening up the classrooms in July. We are doing everything we can to provide a safe, encouraging environment for students and staff.
Early Head Start home visitors continue to provide weekly virtual home visits families in the program.
While there are staff working at the Central Office, the majority of folks are currently on vacation or layoff. There will be no weekly updates until later in July. Please make sure to check the website or Facebook page for any breaking news. Be healthy, be strong, and enjoy the lovely summer days while masked and practicing safe distancing!
