SUMMARY:October Teacher Training\, AM Session
DESCRIPTION:October 18th is our Teacher Meeting day in the Whiteaker gym.  The AM session is from 8:30-11:30 for Regions 3\, 4\, 6\, 8\, & 9.  The PM session is from 12:30-3:30 for Regions 1\, 2\, 5\, & 7.  We are covering several topics this month including maternal depression\, support for immigrant families\, new policies and program goals\, and early childhood math skills.\n\n\nThe Wellness Team meets between the AM and PM sessions in Whiteaker room 7 and all staff are welcome.  The Wellness team meetings are brown bag since they fall over the lunch break.  Meetings can include a wellness activity\, information sharing\, and/or wellness planning for the year.  Please contact Jean Sperry if you have questions.\n\n\nDuring the teacher meeting staff consultation is also available for caseload debriefing with Sacia Stiles de Andrade from Options Counseling in room 4A.  Not sure what you might use staff consultation for?  Here are some examples:\nTalking with a counselor about how to self-regulate during challenging situations with children and families\,\ndebriefing challenges of working with children or families who have complex needs\,\nor perhaps you’re simply feeling overwhelmed or anxious about work and you want to talk about how to manage those feelings so you can be your best self for the children and families you work with.\n\nThere are several 30 min. time slots available for the October meeting.   If you would like to sign up for a time slot for yourself or for you and your teaching partner together\, please email me those requests separately.\n\n\n\n\n10:30-11:00\navailable\n\n\n11:00-11:30\navailable\n\n\n11:30-12:00\navailable\n\n\n12:00-12:30\nLunch break\n\n\n12:30-1:00\nBooked\n\n\n1:00-1:30\navailable\n\n\n1:30-2:00\navailable\n\n\n\n\nThank you everyone and I look forward to seeing you all!
