DESCRIPTION:Register Here\nCommunity Resiliency Model (CRM) Parent/Caregiver Training: Part 1\n(NOTE FROM MARY G:  I’m unsure if this will result in a training certificate or not; I sent an email to ask.) \n\n\n\nThe San Mateo County Office of Education provides programs and services to school districts to support student mental health and wellness.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nThe Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® is a mental health training for parents\, caregivers\, and community members to support families and their wider social network. The primary focus of this skills-based program is to re-set the natural balance of the nervous system in order to bring the body\, mind\, and spirit back into greater balance. \nCRM’s goal is to help to create “trauma-informed” and “resiliency-focused” communities that share a common understanding of the impact of trauma and chronic stress on the nervous system\, and how resiliency can be restored or increased using this skills-based approach. \nJoin Mary McGrath\, Executive Director of Safe and Supportive Schools\, SMCOE; Molly Henricks\, Coordinator of School Safety and Risk Prevention\, SMCOE; and Shana Karashima\, Coordinator of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support\, SUHSD\, for a special Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® training for parents and caregivers. \nThe free\, two-part training will focus on the six CRM wellness skills\, as well as the neuroscience behind the model. Attendees are encouraged to attend both trainings\, as Part 1 and Part 2 will each focus on three of the CRM wellness skills. \nNOTE: You will be emailed a Zoom link on the day of the event.
