No participant limit. \n_________________​​_____________________________________________ \n\nWorking with Families Experiencing Housing Instability\, presented by Chava Kronen \n8:30am – 10:00am in Grand Room 7 \n\nBecome familiar with the role our Housing Outreach Specialist plays in supporting families that are at risk or experiencing homelessness. You will learn about the Homes for Good Project Based Voucher program\, rent and utility assistance programs and how to support parents/caregivers in becoming renters. We will be exploring the loose parts curriculum and get familiar with it once again. Terminology & definitions; Do’s & Don’ts; Inclusive language; Gender expression & gender identity; Strategies for creating a more inclusive environment; Pronouns & the importance of respecting them. No participant limit. \n_________________​​_____________________________________________ \n\nMaking Storytime Engaging\, presented by Lauri Noda & Sarah Coon \n12:30pm – 2:30 pm in the Grand Gym \n\nStruggling with keeping kids engaged while reading books at a circle or elsewhere? This training gives tried and true tips and tricks to keep children engaged and fun for all! Limit 20. \n_________________​​_____________________________________________ \n\nAll Aboard the Allyship\, presented by Transponder \n1:00 pm – 3:00 pm in the Grand Cafeteria \nGenuine allyship is an active\, consistent practice advocating for marginalized groups. This training will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of terms and definitions\, the responsibilities of an ally\, and the pillars of allyship.
