Are you a parent? Were you or are you a HS/EHS parent?
I am not a parent, but I get the wonderful opportunity to be an aunt and mentor to kids.
Are you from Oregon?
I am originally from California. I was born and raised in the Bay Area, where my family still resides. I came to Oregon for college back in 2015 and have never looked back. Oregon has become my home.
What would you tell a parent about HSOLC that they really should know?
What parents really should know is that Head Start of Lane County offers a comprehensive approach, focusing not just on education, but also on health, nutrition, and family support. The program provides high-quality preschool education that helps children develop the skills they need for school and life. It also connects families to valuable resources, including assistance with health care, parenting support, and community services. Head Start of Lane County is an agency that keeps their promises and follows through on their commitments and it has been a joy to witness this but also be a part of it as an Education Coordinator.
