A group of nursing students visited the Whiteaker HS Center to talk about health care, well checks and what kids can expect to happen when they visit the doctor.

Whiteaker staff were gracious to open their doors to these grown up students. Nursing students were surprised and pleased to listen to HS students who knew more than they thought they would. Nursing students sat and listened to HS students tell them where their heart and lungs are. They shared what happens to them at well checks from how tall they are to how much they weigh. Kids shared how they get shots and who is there to help them.

No mask could hide the smiles shining in the nursing student eyes. I would venture to say it was the best day of the week for them.
