Lauri N, ECEC has been working tirelessly with the Smart Reading Program to get books for our students. A few weeks ago, Park teachers submitted information about each child in an effort to get a diverse selection of books that would hopefully represent children’s cultures and interest.
Today each child was surprised with a new book bag that had 15 books in it! The sheer joy and excitement these kids showed when opening their book bags and finding books that held their interest such as Spiderman, Ballerinas, Dolphins and Families was incredible to witness and be a part of.
Thanks to ECEC Lauri and the Smart Reading Program these children are kicking off spring break by leaping into reading!
