As the Fiscal Year 2015 budget season kicks off, Representatives and Senators are submitting their priorities to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees.
Please take a few minutes to write your Representative and Senators TODAY to urge them to support robust funding for Head Start and Early Head Start in FY 2015.
This is a chance to tell your Representative and Senators about the importance of Head Start in your community–how it has worked for over 28 million children and continues to work today by giving at-risk children and families the opportunity to achieve success in school and life.
PLEASE ASK THEM SUPPORT A PROGRAM REQUEST of $8.87 billion for Head Start and Early Head Start in the FY15 Labor, HHS, Education Appropriations bill – an increase of $270 million from FY14 and in line with the President’s FY15 budget request.
The additional funds will help us sustain investments made in Early Head Start expansion, and allow us, as a community, to keep up with the rising costs of operating high-quality classrooms and comprehensive services across the country.
