Free/low cost parenting classes with free childcare starting in January

The Center for Community Counseling is offering the following parenting classes in January. Please note that the first classes focuses on parenting children ages 6-12, so better for parents who need help with their older children

Parenting Tool Kit-What To Do When
Focuses on children 6-12; focuses on children’s needs and parenting strategies
6 weeks on Tuesdays, beginning Jan 18, 2011. Classes are from 6pm-7:30pm
Class and onsite childcare are free
Class location: Boys and Girls Club
1545 W 22nd Ave. Eugene

Changing Anger for Parents
Helps identify to recongize “early warning signs” and make different choices
5 weeks on Wednesdays, begninning Jan 12, 2011. Classes are from 6pm to 8pm.
Class location: Center for Community Counseling
Facilitator: Cori Taggart, MS, LPC
Sliding scale fee (slides very low) and free childcare

Parents should call the Center for Community Counseling at 344-0620 to sign up. Phone hours are Mon-Thurs, 9am-3pm
