For the past 3 years parents/caregivers have been telling HSOLC surveys they wish they had more opportunity to connect with other parents in small groups. The parent leaders of HSOLC (site Policy Council members) want to create that opportunity without burdening staff. They call it Parent Chat. This is modeled after Parent Cafe.

They need your (all staff) help in engaging other parents/caregivers to take advantage of their efforts. On Monday (1/21) at Whiteaker the snacks were ready (thanks kitchen crew), the decorations were in place,  the activity was ready to roll, but no other parents outside of the organizers came. This group of leaders is not giving up! Check out the smiles below and do what you can to partner with these leaders.
