Overseeing Safety Committee are Val Haynes and Patrick Decelles
*At our first meeting for the 25-26 school year, the committee counted
zero accident/incident reports for the month of August, and 5 so far for
the month of September. One accident calling for a ‘scene analysis’ and
ended up being resolved within the day. (Thank you, Facilities!)
*Val discussed how we wanted to bring trainings to our committee members
and help spread the culture of safety in our cohort.
*The representatives viewed our first ever official logo for the
Committee, the Safety Pack Wolf. * Designed by Safety Co-Chair Brynna
Hendrick* The wolf represents loyalty, family, intuition, and leadership.
These characteristics all speak true of our regional representatives.
*Patrick noted that in August, the Managers went through a training camp
and it was discussed that Safety Committee Representatives will be given
time in each RTM or Team Meeting to discuss our new ‘Toolbox Topics’ and
other safety information.
Every Second Friday, starting at 1pm, the OSHA Safety Committee meets via
TEAMS to discuss staff accidents/incidents within the agency, safety
concerns, ergonomics, etc. OSHA Safety Committee meeting minutes are
recorded in Microsoft Teams and transcripts and recordings are available
