All Agency employees eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations are required to obtain the vaccination so that the Agency can continue in-person services. And during the week of January 25, the Agency and OSEA agreed to require all employees be vaccinated. Many of our employees, classified as 1A for vaccine distribution purposes, have already begun to get vaccines. We understand that the remainder of our employees are classified as 1B and should receive vaccinations as the vaccine supply makes it to Lane County.
We are working on the possibility of holding our own vaccination clinic with Lane County Health during regular work hours. Those not provided a vaccination on site can either take paid time to get the vaccine (subject to approval of the employee’s supervisor) or the Agency will pay for time spent being vaccinated. For employees who have to get vaccinated outside the regular work hours, like an evening or weekend, the Agency will pay for their actual and reasonable time spent being vaccinated.
There should be no out-of-pocket costs to employees for the vaccination. If you are subject to any out-of-pocket costs for the vaccination not covered by insurance, please contact Sally Pope (spope@hsolc.org). You may eligible for reimbursement from the Agency for such costs
If you need additional information about vaccinations, you can sign-up for an information session with Agency Nurse Consultant Val Haynes who is a certified COVID 19 vaccinator under the Emergency Use Authorization Act. You can contact Ms. Haynes by email at vhaynes@hsolc.org.
If you would like to request a medical or religious accommodation, contact Sally Pope (contact information provided above) or Tim Rochhol (trochholz@hsolc.org) You will be asked to complete a form to initiate the interactive accommodation process, and additional certification may be required.
Thank you.
