The best teaching is when children ask for something because they are interested in it. Welcome to Charlemagne Slime Day!

The group talked about what a recipe is and what it tells us. They said it tells us what to do and what to put in it.

We talked about the measuring cup, a teaspoon, and a tablespoon. We asked if they thought 1 cup of glue would make enough slime for everyone? They said no! 3 cups would be enough!

The teacher explained if we use 3 cups of glue we would have to use 3 times the amount of the other ingredients and showed them how 3 teaspoons fit in one tablespoon.

Next, the children put the ingredients in the bowl and mixed it all up. What can make it better? Glitter! 3 times as much!

How did they do? Two children wrapped their hands with it, saying it was a band-aid, while another said his hands were like a glove. They noticed how it stretched and wondered how tall they could make it by stretching it out!
