The first Oregon Head Start Association meeting took place November 6-8 in Salem. The first day is orientation for new members with a call to action for returning members. The staff and parents break into networking groups to do this orientation. The staff group had an team building activity – a puzzle had to be put together BUT pieces were missing and we had to find those pieces.
The exercise showed the different ways we problem solve. One group gathered up all the wrong pieces at their table and went table to table to find and share. Another group yelled out “who has….” and a third sent out a runner to search and find. Of course HSOLC won the puzzle challenge!
