The direct service teams I spoke with expressed their pleasure with the size of the classrooms, the storage – we would all love that storage – to the FAs having their own separate space as to not disrupt the work of teachers interacting with students and parents. The gym is a gem – a work of art on its own and one we get to use for those rainy days and when the outdoor covered area just won’t do. The playground is fenced separate from the field, which is also fenced. A computer lab will also enrich the community access to information, education and needed training space for us and others.
To the staff (Creswell, Cottage Grove staff, RM/RA, maintenance, IT, operations director and the host of others I am forgetting) you deserve a token of appreciation(have you given yours away, or received one from someone….) for the many hours dedicated to make this old school come alive again – job well done!
