Foundations of Trauma-Informed Care with Karla Snell and Kerry Holmes

As part of the New Teacher Training series, this session introduces the principles of trauma-informed care and how they can strengthen classroom practice, staff relationships, and student well-being. Participants will gain practical strategies for recognizing the impact of trauma, fostering resilience, and creating supportive environments where all children can thrive. While designed for new teachers, the training is ideal for any staff member interested in building a deeper understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
 
Mock Interviews with Bonnie Hill and the HR Team

ChildPlus: Attendance & Point of Service Meal Count with Mary Groesbeck

This hands-on session will help staff become confident in completing attendance and meal count directly in ChildPlus online. With guided practice and clear instruction, participants will learn how to complete this daily task in their classrooms.

Vitality! – Ways to Increase Self and Community Care with Heidi Johnson, et al

This workshop-style session invites participants to explore the six domains of vitality and strengthen their capacity to care for themselves and others through small group discussions and engaging activities. No lectures here—the wisdom is already in the room! While the format is similar to previous sessions, the content will be new, making this a great opportunity for both first-time attendees and those returning for another round of inspiration.

This hands-on session will help you become comfortable configuring reports in ChildPlus to find the data you need. We’ll explore several helpful reports, learn how to set them up to target specific information, and practice using tools to sort and interpret the results—giving you confidence in managing and understanding your classroom and program data.
 
 
Early Learning Matters (ELM) Follow-Up Training with Sara Schmitt, UO

Limited to ELM participants
This follow-up session is designed for teaching staff who have already completed ELM training and are currently working in ELM study classrooms. Participants will deepen their understanding of the ELM model, reflect on classroom implementation, and strengthen strategies to support ongoing success.
 
Autismo con Geovana Rodríguez

Rev It Up; Calm It Down with the ECECs

This repeat training is offered for those who missed the November session. Learn practical Rev It Up and Calm It Down techniques to support emotion regulation and strengthen behavior management in early childhood settings. Through interactive practice, participants will gain strategies to energize engagement when needed and restore calm to foster positive classroom environments.
 
TCIT PRIDE Skills with Emily Peterson

This training is limited to staff working in classrooms where coaching on TCIT PRIDE skills has been provided. Participants will learn about the skills their Head Teacher is implementing, practice the techniques, and coordinate strategies to strengthen classroom consistency and support.

Limited to new ELM participants
This introductory session is designed for teaching staff who have been recently placed in ELM study classrooms. Participants will gain an overview of the ELM model, explore its goals and practices, and prepare to implement strategies that support high-quality early learning. Attendance is limited to ELM participants who have not previously completed this training
