Do you want to know what you can to do help children develop skills to cope with strong feelings, focus their attention, and control impulses? If so, this workshop will provide you with developmental information, current resources from the literature, and tools that will promote children’s social, emotional, and behavioral success in your classroom.

This training opportunity will provide child care providers with a greater understanding of working with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Learn about characteristics of ASD, behavioral strategies, and simple activities to encourage social and language skill development. Participants will leave with a visuals bag to take to their classrooms, as well as access to the STAR Autism Support online Media Center.
