In this experiential workshop, you’ll look at our field’s concepts of child development (i.e., regulation, reciprocity, rupture-repair) through the lens of social justice practice. You’ll explore ways to embed social justice practices of solidarity, power-with, and accountability into your daily work with families and young children.

Topics will include: Crisis prevention, philosophy and basics of person centered communications, scene safety, crisis de-escalation strategies, rapport building, the role of self in any intervention, and the importance of debriefing.
