Sensory Make ‘n’ Take

Limit 30; register in advance. Join us for a fun, hands on, stress relieving, exploration on sensory play in the classroom. There will be 3 stations to explore and some make-and-take opportunities. We will be using non-toxic ingredients to make sensory bags, various sensory Play-Doh's, engaging in hands on playtime with sensory items in classrooms that often get overlooked, and exploring various items from the Early Childhood CARES library that are available to support children on IFSP's. Recipes and how it all links to child development and TS GOLD objectives will also be included.

Compassion fatigue can be described as the personal suffering linked to an intense sharing of another’s traumatic experiences in a work environment with high demands. To stay healthy and productive in such an environment requires both self-care and individual skill building. In this workshop we’ll explore the concept of compassion fatigue and experience and practice self-awareness and -regulation techniques.
