We are looking for preschool and elementary school professionals (psychologists, teaching assistants, graduate students in early childhood or special education, etc.) to participate in an evaluation of an online training for First Step to Success. The evaluation will be conducted between October 1st and October 31st.

What is First Step to Success?
First Step is a collaborative home and school early intervention program for students in preschool through third grade who are exhibiting challenging behaviors that could lead to school failure, dropout or other adjustment problems. It recruits parents as partners with the school in teaching the at-risk child behaviors that contribute to school success and the development of friendships. The program is facilitated by a specially trained coach who works with the child, the teacher and the parents to conduct the program over a 30 to 45 day period.

Participation in the evaluation involves the following:
1) 2 to 3 hours of your time at your home or other location with a computer and internet access.
2) Taking a pre-test, engaging in the web-based training, and taking a post-test.
3) Receiving $100 for your time.
4) The potential option to then implement the First Step intervention in your school or classroom and receive free fidelity checks from a highly trained First Step coach.

Please email Amanda Fixsen at if you are interested in participating in this evaluation and receiving free training in the First Step to Success intervention.
