It’s that fun time of year when we start to experience inclement weather. This is a friendly reminder to take a minute and read over the Inclement Weather Closure, Cancellation and Delayed Openings in your Bargaining Unit Labor Contract. You can access this information on the Head Start portal by clicking on documents, then click Full Archives, then click HR, and you’ll locate it under Handbooks. It will be on page 10 Article 7.
Please take time to read it through and if you have any questions or need clarity please ask your Manager.
Also, what is not stated in Article 7 is Management will prioritize contacting staff that work early shifts first:
1. Bus Drivers.
2. Food Service workers.
3. Staff who open or ride buses.
4. Facilities staff.
Safety of staff, children, and families is priority.
