Create your own field trips!

Field trips can be wonderful opportunities for learning. Wherever you go with your child, you can challenge them to learn.

Make up your own monthly "themes" and try to fit as many learning opportunities into it as you can. For example, this month you might plan your next visit to the vet, visit pet shops in the area, pick up books at the library about pets, wash the dog, and so on.

Wherever you go and whatever you do can be a learning adventure. When you are shopping at the grocery store, take a moment to talk about shapes, frest fruits, colors, numbers, farms, etc.
