Courageous Kids is a grief support program (part of PeaceHealth) for children ages 6 through 17 who have had a loved one die and their families. Among other services we have a camp every year at Sky Camp on Fall Creek Reservoir for 5 days and 4 nights. 50+ volunteers come to support the 40+ grieving kids. They use art, music, sand tray and challenge activities to process their grief.
The kitchen serves 3 meals and 2 snacks per day starting with Sunday dinner (8/3/2014) and ending Thursday with lunch (8/7), serving between 80 and 100 children and adults. The staff consists of two cooks and the kitchen leader, who supports the cooks and supervises the youth clean-up crew (6).
We are in need of a 2nd cook.
