The 2012-13 Council is winding down, one meeting left and they have completed the one year term limit. This has been one of the most amazing groups of hard working, dedicated parents I have had the pleasure to work with over the past 20 years. Last night the 2012-13 outcomes report was given. This is the first year that behavior data is available. Highlights of this report are:
~ One in four children enrolled has a disability
~ Communication and developmental delays are the predominate disabilities
~ Gains were made in all domains except for English Language Acquisition for children on IFSP
~ Tsgold data mirrors Galielo data
~ CLASS scores are above the minimum threshold
~ Behavior issues occured most often during transition, free choice, outside and circle time
~ Top four behavior outbursts are: physical aggression, non-compliance, unsafe behavior and running away
~ The answer most given for the motivation/reason for displaying the behavior is “I don’t know”

Additional business included:
~ 2013-14 EHS Calendar approved
~ Hire recommendations
~ Finance policy: petty cash, staff support expenditures, staff expense reimbursement, mileage reimbursement. These go to the Board of Directors for approval before being posted online.

New Council orientation training is Thursday, October 24 from 6-9pm at Whiteaker.
