The Gnome class was chasing rainbows this week! We enjoyed the weather and played outside.

This moment in time inspired Teacher Nikki to write a poem as she watched the children play.

Chasing Rainbows

The wide look in their eyes sparks magic within the trees

as they scavenge for mystery and color all around them.

The wind and the rain make the children feel free

as they play and share laughter with those that surround them.

Children listen with their eyes, speak what they feel, and sing with everything they see.

Come along and chase me.

We can run to where the rainbow ends and the sunshine begins,

let the wind chimes ring.

How sweet the rainbow colors reflecting in their eyes

as they imagine that they can soar and fly.

Never let that childhood magic burn as we grow up

and continue to learn.
