As someone who was a teacher in the classroom for Head Start, it was an interesting transition to solely home visiting. My experience has been amazing so far.
My heart needed more one-on-one with the families that needed it most. I appreciate the welcomeness and honesty of working with these kiddos in their home. Sometimes, Early Head Start gets overshadowed but these are some of the most hard-working and dedicated staff I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.
I get to share smiles, challenges, and triumphs with these families. I experience first steps, goals being accomplished, and overall confidence in caregivers is something to be appreciated beyond belief.
