SEEKER Allissa is at the Park without fail for 2 hours a day, 4 days a week. She is always willing to help where needed whether this be cleaning, filling water bottles, sweeping the floors, etc. She has been able to help serve meals (especially on days when teachers are allergic to the food.) Allissa has also participated in circle time, fire and earthquake drills. She is always willing to meet the child on their level whether that be reading a book, working on puzzles, or building a tower. She is enjoying being in the classroom.
Allissa said she is sad SEEKERs classes are ending soon, but she hopes to work here next year. We really think we have a future HSOLC teacher!
As someone who was a SEEKER, we cannot express how much fun and exciting it is to have a current SEEKER in our classroom. It also reminds us of where we started…as parents seeking out our future when we enrolled our child at HSOLC, who offered us a career we never dreamed of.
