Hazardous Road Condition Policy

Policy

Head Start of Lane County will ensure the safe transportation in case of a hazardous road condition or change in the usual route.

Procedure

  1. The driver will notify the Transportation Manager to make a decision on changes to the unusual route due to hazardous road conditions or some other unusual situation.
  2. If the Transportation Manager is not available, the chain of command is:
    1. Administrative Manager
    2. Program Director
    3. Regional Manager
    4. Executive Director
  3. Each situation will be dealt with in an individual manner, as every circumstance will be different.

This policy complies with Head Start Performance Standard 1310.20(b)(7)
